Loyalty

Loyalty over everything. It’s real. It’s very few people you find who are loyal. Loyal people have your back. Well, here’s the flip side, loyal can turn disloyal. You don’t know until you know for those who want to ask how do you detect those who will turn on you. When loyal isn’t loyal anymore, it’s easy to shutdown and become cold hearted to everyone because you no longer feel like your guard should be down. It’s like trusting and been turned on. No one wants to trust again. So what’s next in this matter, know you and follow your instincts. I was recently put in a position where my personal space was violated by someone I never met and as much as I did to push the violator out my space without causing a big scene in person, my supposedly friend who invited me out just watched. I never received a checkup after I finally made it to my safe place from the person I trusted. What do you do? Did my supposed to be friend really didn’t see any thing wrong or just thought I was able to handle the violation differently? So many questions. Why did I even allow myself to put a supposed to be friend first and attend these events that were out my comfort zone? Did I set myself up to be a target? I can go on but the main question is why did someone I trust not protect me? Loyalty is hard to find and just because you’re loyal doesn’t mean you attract the same. So know you enough to trust your instincts. And never compromise your comfort, peace, and space for those who won’t do the same for you.
