By LaToya Jackson | Lesson in Every Day
I’m tired.
Exhausted in every sense — mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually.
Right now, I need a break from everything just to breathe, to refocus, to redefine who I am in this season… and to recharge.
I know I’m not alone.
So many of us have been going and going —
Running, pushing, pressing forward.
Holding on by what feels like a single strand,
Hoping it doesn’t snap under the weight.
It’s been challenging not to faint,
Not to grow weary in well-doing,
Not to give up on the task God placed in our hands.
Truth is, my body is tired.
My mind is tired.
My heart is tired.
But still… I trust that God is working —
Even when I don’t feel strong,
Even when I feel empty,
Even when all I want is rest.
And He reminds me:
There is a season for rest.
A time to lay it all down.
To find peace again —
Not in results, but in His presence.
So if you’re reading this and you feel the same,
Rest.
Rest in His arms.
Rest in His presence.
Rest knowing that the God who called you won’t let you fall apart.
And whatever you do…
Don’t you quit.
Not now. Not like this.
There’s purpose in your pause,
Strength in your stillness,
And power in choosing rest over burnout.
We’re gonna be okay.
But for now, let’s breathe.
Let’s rest.
Let’s trust.
