Heart of Forgiveness

True freedom is found in a heart full of forgiveness. If we hold onto grudges, even when others refuse to apologize, we give away our power and become trapped. Similarly, if we don’t forgive ourselves for all the hurt we’ve caused, the unspeakable, unsharable, unbearable memories that haunt us, we’ll always be bound by a power that won’t release us until we forgive ourselves completely! When we refuse to forgive the past, the person, place, or memory will always hold us captive.

Forgiveness opens your heart to a lightness of being, a freedom that lifts you up. Wouldn’t you love to wake up each day filled with joy, no matter what’s going on around you? Wouldn’t you want to understand more deeply what God is calling you to? Wouldn’t you want to love without expecting anything in return, because your heart is free? Wouldn’t you want to pray with confidence, knowing that your prayers aren’t hindered by unforgiveness? God doesn’t answer those who hold onto unforgiveness. Don’t let your heart’s unforgiveness block your prayer and your life of freedom with Christ.

I challenge you to write down, speak it out, or however you need to do it the list of all you need to forgive. Let it go and give it all to God. Never to return back to a heart unforgiving. Keep your heart pure, live and walk in your freedom of God.
