Today, Starter Week didn’t take us to a stage.

It took us to a parking lot.

While out at Kroger, just handling everyday responsibilities, I felt that familiar nudge again. The same nudge that reminds me why Lesson in Everyday exists.

Pass the mic.

We asked a simple but powerful question:

“What are you grateful for?”

And then we asked something deeper:

“What inspiring, motivating, or encouraging words would you leave with someone watching?”

It’s amazing what happens when you give people space.

In the middle of errands, noise, and busy schedules, someone paused long enough to reflect on gratitude. And from that reflection came encouragement — real, unscripted, heartfelt encouragement.

That’s what this platform is about.

Lesson in Everyday was never meant to spotlight celebrities. It was meant to spotlight humanity. To remind us that ordinary people carry extraordinary wisdom. That hope isn’t rare — it’s just often unheard.

When we share the mic, we build community.

When we ask questions, we open hearts.

When we listen, we shine light.

Today reminded me that gratitude changes posture. It softens stress. It lifts perspective. And sometimes the very thing someone else says is the exact reminder we needed.

So I’ll ask you the same thing we asked in the parking lot:

What are you grateful for?

And what would you leave with someone who needs encouragement today?

Because the lesson truly is in the everyday.
