There will be times on your journeys when you will not make sense of everything. When you first arrive at a new destination on your pathway, don’t worry yourself with trying to figure it all out at once. You work to do what you know to do. You will find your fit and you will realize later it all comes together. Remember the unknown is common grounds and the uncomfortable is your push in growth. Don’t be quick to give up. Don’t be quick to turn back around. It’s okay to acknowledge your nervousness and fear, but don’t let it play out to long. You keep your mind positive and uplifted with self encouragement. Remind yourself, you will be great. You will be greater than your start. Expect the unexpected and remember your last journey prepared you for some of this. Go forth and do greater things, I believe in YOU!!!! Trust the process and growth. Keep going! One step at a time.
I’ve moved out the country I’ve known all my life. My heart was set to discover something new and along my journey to be found by someone specially made just for me from You (God). The challenges begin long before I stepped foot off the airplane into a foreign world I had not known. Many challenges to even travel afar and as I began to unpack the challenges anew started again. Little did I know the adaptations were so highly important to survive on an island far away from my home land. Here I am to share my experiences to encourage you no matter where you are in your growth and journey, there is a time in your decision and dwellings you must make it work for you. Find ways to keep going through to get to where your purpose is fulfilled. Life to every detail will never be exactly as you wish or dreamt. However, life presents options to make it work wherever you land and with whatever you have available to you or give it all up and never reach your full potential. So, what did I decide? I decided to grow, adapt, adjust, acclimate, and conquer. My mentality had to change and my eyesight had to adjust to see beyond what was right here in my face. No matter how unpleasant, uncomfortable, undesirable, or even unbelievable the current situation, circumstances, or matters are, my heart will continue to seek out God’s plans and purpose for me here(right where I am in life, the level, the time, the place).
Here’s how you make it work for you. Work with what you have(skills, experience, surrounding providence, and resources). God said He will provide(well, it may not be how you wanted it or seen it, but He has provided). Take what you have and make use of it. Clean up where you can to make it work. God sees what you do with what He has provided. Give thanks for all you have and make it work. Focus on the larger picture(what are you called to do in this season, dwelling, time, space, and place). Here I am Heavenly Father, what is it You ask of me? I make room for You,God, to do whatever you want to do.

My heart is beating faster. My left hand is shaking. Every thought in my head is gearing toward the question, will I survive? Checking every corner of my one boxed room from outside intruders, the critters. Or am I the intruder as the new person to occupy this space now? Welcome to the island life everyone says. It’s different and a lot of new challenges. I have no answer to give when everyone asks how is it. I am still adjusting, adapting, and acclimating to a new environment and lifestyle.
Sheesh, reality has set into play. The new journey has begun. The culture is changing and the world has become new. Seeing another side of the world is unbelievable. There’s a lot to adjust to like the living arrangements. Adapting to a new lifestyle is not always easy, but it is important to remember to do so. Acclimating to a new cultural lifestyle. The air quality is even different. With such large change, it’s time to adapt, adjust, and acclimate. When your world completely changes, don’t expect the same living conditions. There is everything to physically, mentally, and conditionally to adjust and acclimate to. Settle into your new life and remember everything is going to be alright.
When the waiting is over and there is more reality to discover, it gets real. Realizing I been waiting for this moment, but the moment to embrace hasn’t even settled. Only time will tell if I’m ready or not. Regardless I am here and the time is now to show up and be present like never before. A new day has risen and there’s only living to embrace. The fast pace only last for a moment before the pace slows and reality reveals where you are. I haven’t had time yet to embrace this reality because I been so busy moving around. When the time slows down and the pace is steady, the dream won’t be a dream anymore. Waking up to an entire new life is what I will only see when I walk out the door. New territory I must embark upon and as a butterfly I just flow with the wind. It’s going to be a place I have never been. There is so much my heart and mind will try to embrace all at once that I must remind myself one moment, one day, one picture at a time. Only time will tell what I can really conquer.
