Today for Starter Week, we took Pass the Mic to the parking lot of Kroger — just living life, running errands like everyone else.

Today, I asked everyday people two powerful questions: “What inspires you?” and “What words would you leave with someone who needs encouragement?” The answers were honest and raw, showing that inspiration can come from anyone—strangers, mothers, workers, or those quietly fighting unseen battles. This year for Valentine’s Day, Lesson In Everyday did something special.

We passed the mic.

We asked married couples how long they’ve been together and how it feels to celebrate love on this day.

We asked parents who they were spending their Valentine’s with.

We asked everyday people how they were truly feeling — beyond the flowers and cards.

And what we captured was beautiful.
