Sometimes the most powerful inspiration doesn’t come from a stage or a scripted moment. Sometimes it comes from everyday conversations with people who are simply living their purpose.
In this episode of Pass the Mic: Street Conversations That Inspire | Mobile Motivation with LA, I had the opportunity to connect with two incredible hairstylists who are also salon owners and entrepreneurs. What began as a simple conversation quickly turned into a moment filled with wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration.
One of the beautiful things about Lesson in Everyday is the reminder that everyone carries a story worth sharing. These women are not only talented in their craft but are also walking in purpose as business owners, creators, and leaders in their community.
During our conversation, I asked them to share words that could inspire or encourage someone watching. Their responses reflected the reality of entrepreneurship — perseverance, belief in yourself, and the courage to keep moving forward even when the journey feels challenging.
Building a business is not always easy. Behind every salon chair is a story of long hours, dedication, learning, and growth. Yet what stood out most in this moment was their willingness to encourage others along the way.
That is what Pass the Mic is about.
It’s about creating space for real voices, real experiences, and real encouragement from people we encounter in everyday life. You never know when someone’s words might become the exact motivation another person needed to hear.
Entrepreneurship often requires faith, resilience, and the ability to keep believing in the vision you carry. Listening to these women speak reminded me that inspiration is all around us when we take the time to listen.
At Lesson in Everyday, our mission is to highlight those moments — the conversations that remind us that wisdom is not reserved for a select few. It lives in everyday people, everyday stories, and everyday experiences.
Sometimes a simple question can unlock a powerful message.
And sometimes the person standing right in front of you has the encouragement someone else has been praying for.
That is the heart of Pass the Mic.
Because when we create space for people to share their voice, we also create space for hope, motivation, and connection.
And as always…
Because the lesson is in the everyday.
