I want someone who will love me for me. I desire someone who won’t think I am too deep or talk too much with conversation. I want someone who communicates back and engage in the conversation. I want someone who keeps me striving for more and thinking beyond the surface. Can you challenge me? Can you teach me? Can you share something deeper than the body appeal? Are you spiritually connected? Am I able to express myself freely? Are there true building blocks and stable foundation? Are we able to converse and enjoy conversation? Are we able to share different perspectives? Are we able to respect if this isn’t going where we would like? Can we respectfully disagree? Will you ask me out on a real date? Will you pray with me? Will you open the door, hold my hand, pull my seat out? Can we laugh and cry? Is this authentic? Will you text back? Will you call? Will you be open? Can we be vulnerable? Am I safe and secure with you? Are we building one another or tearing one another down? Can we enjoy one another’s company? Can we work through our differences?
As you get older, your concerns and view changes. Here’s what I mean: I use to in my 20s and younger put everyone’s needs and wants before mine. Draining myself and not being properly refilled. Well, when you’re younger, you can maneuver around like that because your bounce back is quicker to kick in. Now my heart, spirit, and body speaks differently when it comes to taking care of me. I no longer can afford to let anyone take, take, take, and take because of their selfish choices, selfishness, and self centered behavior. I awareness kick in and I respectfully decline giving into such situation. I have to take care of self which includes my mental health, medical care, physical health, spiritual health, and emotional health. So what this looks like is me putting my health first. Because I’m single, I get to choose to decline giving my time and energy to selfish individuals. I can simply respond my wellbeing is priority. Therefore, this foreseen situation of me giving and giving until I’m empty is not an option. You have to take care of you. Only then will you have what it takes to help those who aren’t using you or only taking from you. Recognize the behavior and flags before you start. Pay attention to yourself because your mind, body or spirit will alert you when there’s something wrong on your radar that will have you worse off than you started. Take care of you!
Is not living beyond just being alive? Do you not feel the pain, the struggle, the heartache, the sadness, the joy, the happiness when you’re living? We don’t embrace living and appreciate all that comes with it because we rather eliminate or live without the negativity, the pain, the hurt, the sadness and challenges. We fail to realize all of it make up living and must be embraced, faced, appreciated because it’s all of it that makes us tougher, push us to persevere, open our understanding to endurance, brings patience, helps us to level up, and most of all reminds us we are living!

Your story, all of it, good and bad, is survival kit for generations to come and those around you now. Out of the ugly is beauty produced! Hang tight and live to the fullest!!!! Change your perspective and live!
We don’t take enough time to look back at all we’ve been through thus far. If we did, we will see we got through what we’ve been through. We are here now. We are not where we use to be. Today I remind you and encourage you that you will pull through whatever you’re facing or going through now. You have gotten through all you been through in the past. Don’t lose hope or faith now.
