I was just getting my car washed.
No big plan.
No scheduled interview.
No content mapped out.
But in the middle of an ordinary moment, I felt it — that nudge in my spirit.
“Pass the mic.”
Now listen… I could’ve ignored it. I could’ve told myself, This isn’t the place. I could’ve waited for a stage, a setup, a perfect backdrop. But Lesson in Everyday was never built on perfect backdrops. It was built on obedience.
So I took the leap.
Right there at the car wash.
And what came from that simple act of obedience? A powerful, positive message from someone who probably had no idea they were about to pour into others that day.
That moment reminded me of something I want to remind you of:
Not every divine assignment comes with lights and cameras.
Some come with water sprays and spinning brushes.
We miss so many lessons because we’re waiting on something bigger. But the truth is, the lesson is in the everyday. It’s in the grocery store. It’s in the line. It’s in the car wash.
When you feel led — move.
When you feel the nudge — trust it.
When the opportunity feels random — lean in.
Because obedience opens doors that planning never could.
The car wash wasn’t random.
It was a reminder.
And I’m grateful I listened.

Today we did it again.
No formal setup. No rehearsed answers. Just real people in their everyday environments.
We passed the mic.
We asked a simple question:
Why do you do what you do?
Not just for a paycheck.
Not just out of routine.
But deeper — what keeps you showing up?
We also asked:
What can you share that would encourage someone watching today?
And what I was reminded of is this:
Purpose is everywhere.
It’s in the nurse working long shifts.
It’s in the entrepreneur building from scratch.
It’s in the parent balancing responsibility and passion.
It’s in the person choosing to try again after disappointment.
Lesson In Everyday exists because there is wisdom in ordinary spaces.
When we give people a platform — even for 60 seconds — something powerful happens. They reflect. They speak boldly. They inspire without even realizing it.
We are encouraging people.
We are challenging comfort zones.
We are creating space for voices that matter.
Because purpose isn’t rare.
It’s just often unnoticed.
And sometimes all it takes…
is passing the mic.

On an ordinary day, I stepped outside with a simple question:
What inspires you to keep showing up every day?
Not a scripted moment.
Not a staged interview.
Just real people. Real life. Real answers.
And what I found reminded me why Lesson In Everyday exists.
Inspiration doesn’t always come from a platform.
It doesn’t always come from a spotlight.
Sometimes it comes from a mother balancing work and home.
Sometimes from someone quietly healing.
Sometimes from a person who doesn’t even realize their strength is teaching others.
I also asked one more question:
What words of encouragement would you leave with someone watching today?
The responses were honest. Vulnerable. Powerful.
Some spoke about faith.
Some spoke about discipline.
Some spoke about surviving hard seasons.
But all of them spoke from experience.
That’s what I love about this journey.
We are encouraging people.
We are inspiring people.
We are challenging people to step outside of their comfort zones.
And at the same time, we are learning from them.
You never know when I’ll be in your city.
Lesson In Everyday is mobile.
And on an ordinary day… you could be the next voice sharing a lesson that helps someone else breathe a little easier.
Because there is always a lesson.
In the ordinary.
In the uncomfortable.
In the everyday.

I’ve learned something about myself.
When I feel uneasy, I don’t need pressure.
I don’t need urgency.
I need a moment.
Uneasiness requests a moment, please.
Sometimes when I’m internalizing something — a conversation, a tone, a situation — I need space to digest it. Not to avoid it. Not to dismiss it. But to process it well so I can respond with clarity instead of emotion.
Everybody’s timeframe is different.
Your urgency is not always someone else’s urgency. And that’s okay.
Sometimes we need a little space to clear our head.
To reset.
To refocus.
To come again — even in difficult conversations.
LA’s message to you is simple:
Assess your uneasiness.
What is it bringing up?
Is it major?
Will it impact your relationships?
Is it something that will build if ignored — or something that will fade if released?
Give yourself the grace to pause before you approach.
Because sometimes the most mature response is not immediate — it’s intentional.
Uneasiness requests a moment, please.
And that moment may be an hour.
It may be a day.
It may be two.
Honor it.
With space.
With grace.
With mercy.
With openness.
That is growth.
That is self-awareness.
