You can recover. Slowly, but surely, you can recover your peace. When your peace has been broken and it feels like someone/something has wrecked it, you might not see it right then, but you have what it takes to get your peace back. Your peace should be protected and cherished. Peace of mind and peace in your heart are necessarily important to have. When your world has been wrecked, find a way to recover. Resiliency is key to finding your way back. What does recovery look like for you? Don’t stop until you fully recover your strength, happiness, peace, and self too wholeness again.
The silent voice speaks. After finding oneself in an unsafe place in life mentally, emotionally, and/physically, there’s a question of how long will it take for one to feel safe again.?.?. Trauma, anxiety, depression, tragedy, pain, disappointment, etc can push you towards silence and a loss of safety. One may feel betrayed by too many once trusted and that can lead to one feeling like there is no safe place or trusted person around. How do one recover? There are many thoughts and emotions that runs in one’s head. That’s okay until it’s not okay. What does that mean? There’s a time to feel, embrace what you feel, talk About what you feel, and then there’s a time to heal, forgive, and extend grace. We cannot get stuck in the feel stage to long. We have to believe and push through healing. Finding safety again is vital to healing you. Safe and secure is what the heart, mind, body and soul desires. If any of those areas are betrayed, violated, let down, traumatized, or just mistreated, it will set an alarm of not feeling safe and secure. In order to get back to a safe and secure place, mentally, emotionally, physically, you have to identify what you need and what will help you get back to where you feel like you again. I took a week off from podcasting and blogging because I can relate to this content. Now I’m taking one day at a time to identify the space I’m in, express and identity what I’m feeling, and then take steps like reading the Bible and inspiring books, writing, and talking with others about what I’m internalizing to slowly but surely get back to feeling safe, secure and myself again. It’s okay not to know where all the emotions are coming from, but please start at your pace to finding what can help you get through until you’re back to you. The scars might be there but healing is where you want to find yourself heading towards.
When you know right from wrong, but a part of you wish wrong could be right. When you wish you can hate because people keep lying to you. When you want to be angry because you keep being let down every time you open up. Well, I got news being angry isn’t going to help it change anything you can’t control. Anger just makes you sick. Find a way to release anger in a healthy way. Another thing hating others or yourself won’t bring peace or restore happiness. It only makes you bitter and heart hurt more. Let forgiveness run that hate away. Now I can’t say it’s easy because it’s not. Sometimes you have to write all those built up feelings and thoughts on paper then burn it, tear it up, throw it away to get it all out your mind, heart, and soul. Sometimes we just need to get it out to become empty of the dark that tries to consume us and dim the light inside us. Yell it out at a wall. Whatever healthy way you can express yourself without being forced to keep it in or becoming harmful to self or others, then do it. There are many healthy options to get all the filth out of your system. You just have to choose which healthy way is best for you. I encourage you to find healthy ways to get your feelings and thoughts expressed and out. Don’t bottle everything inside! Sometimes it’s our own bottle that doesn’t allow us to live our best life. Free yourself.
Get help. I know there’s so much to write ✍️ from what I’m internalizing. Get help from professionals if you need. Sometimes those you believe should understand just aren’t capable or willing to just listen without responding. When someone is needing help, most times they need to be heard. You don’t have to respond or have an answer for them in crisis, pain, or distress, just give them an open ear. Let them know they are entitled to feel and have feelings. If you can’t understand or be a listener, be respectful and helpful with referring them to professional helpers or someone who can help. Don’t trigger their pain, distress, or trauma from your lack of understanding or you underestimating what they are going through or internally experiencing.
When pain is so deep, it’s hard to be understood from the brokenness and damage. Hiding from the feelings buried so deep only makes it harder to heal. Being afraid to go through the motions the pain feels is an isolated normal. What are we afraid of when we hide 😶🌫️ from feeling? Losing ourselves or not knowing who we are behind the pain, bruises, and damages could be what we flee. Yet, the thought of being fooled again by those who are fake, phony, and pretending to understand are all of what we don’t want to run through again. Not feeling like oneself, and it isn’t easy being expressive to those who aren’t going to understand until they feel the pain. Now silence 🤐 becomes the best answer is how the suffering makes us feel. Keeping everything in is how everyone around makes one feel. It sucks when you open up to someone who you thought would try to comprehend but the person only recreates the pain and suffering.
