It’s one of them days where everything seems to be not working out. Things are seeming to be working you out from stress, plans collapsing, and everything is now seeming to be out of control. What do you do? 1. Don’t give up. 2. Breathe. 3. Get a different perspective. 4. Trust the process. 5. Speak 🗣 out loud things are still going to work out.
Now you are less frustrated, calmer, and able to think 💭, start thinking of other solutions to some temporary situations. Ask yourself some of the things I didn’t get to today, can it workout rescheduled? Is it a life or death moment that has to be tended to today? Slow down and think through it not to overwhelm yourself immediately from the first reaction due to panic, quick frustration, or impatience. Everything will still work out because even when it doesn’t seem like it, it is already still working out in that process. Remember that today no matter what comes up today. Be encouraged.
Don’t allow your past to define you. Don’t allow the choices you made yesterday be the definition of who you are choosing to be today. The process of outgrowing is to be growing into better. You cannot allow what you been delivered from to hold you hostage in life. We talk about facing the struggles. Well, part of this process is standing in your growth and shutting the door to who you use to be, who you use to see, the old habits, the old perspectives, the past and keep moving forward in the process. Be reminded of your steps forward. Be reminded of your progress in the process. Never let anyone hold you in bondage to who you use to be. Who you are now by choice and growing is not who you use to be. Every step forward is progress. Keep stepping forward. I love what Pastor Touré Roberts said in his message Built to last: the way you conceited to the people and things of the past is not conducive to your growth or growing now.(paraphrased). Continue your growing and let nothing or no one hold you back.
Sometimes you have to face your struggles. Even when it looks like a mess, you have to face them. To give yourself an opportunity to overcome them, you have to face them. Don’t run or hide from your struggles anymore. Face them and look for solutions. Ask for help if you need to. Ask for trusted ones to hold you accountable. The struggle is real and you have to realize it. Acknowledge it and start working toward a solution or options to overcome. The struggles are part of the process. You can do this. Give yourself the chance to face your struggles. Pray 🙏🏽 trust God and don’t fear it.

I seen something I never seen before. It was a small bird 🦅 look both ways before walking to cross to the other side. Now why would that bird use its talons, foot, toes when it has wings to fly? I did a little research on birdingoutdoors.com where I found the reason birds walk is it consumes much less energy than flying or to travel short distances within a few feet 🦶🏾. So now what I thought about is everyone can see a bird flying but not always when it’s on foot.
There are two lessons I want to share: 1. Although you can fly into a place in life, a new position, new level, it can be seen. Sometimes somethings you need to just walk into and take your time. Not everything you do, working toward, or preparing for needs to be displayed. Sometimes you have to walk it out and let it slowly be revealed.
2. Somethings are in your walking distance, so close to your reach(your breakthrough, your recovery, your level up, your joy, your peace). It’s so close that you don’t see it. Yet, because you are trying to fly there, you are trying to rush to get to the other side. Flapping your wings can have you to fly right over where you are trying to get to versus 🆚 you just walking into it, looking both ways before crossing over to the other side on foot. Everything doesn’t need to be rushed because the rush or fly might cause you to miss where you’re supposed to get to. You miss what the walk brings, less energy than flying. You miss your landing when you could have just walked because it was just a few more steps around the corner. Walk sometimes versus flying. You’ll be amazed how close you really are. Just as the bird 🦅 looked both ways, taking precautions yet still focused to get to the other side, it walked by choice instead of flying. Cars going in opposite directions could have been distractions for this bird or made it fear and decide to fly but the bird took necessary precautions and it still made it by walking to the other side which was so close in distance.
