“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
King James Version (KJV)
So the saying usually goes He won’t put more on you than you can bear. I believe strongly that with this being so, then we should understand if He is with us and within us than we already have what we need to face and make it through what we are going through. Let me make sense of this. God has already put in you what you need to bear. So the question now is, “when are we going to search internally or sit and take assessment? Slow down; take a moment and know you are equipped for what you are bearing.
Defined by Merriam-Webster- as The meaning of TUG-OF-WAR is a struggle for supremacy or control usually involving two antagonists. Have you ever had a week maybe even a month or a season in your life you felt like you were being tossed to and fro. You find yourself in a position in your life when you were handling things good or at least you were to your best ability and then there comes a big turnaround for not so good for you. Things start to pile and pile on you. Your emotions are affected and in results your mental health is disturbed. You aren’t really making decisions from a well thought out place or process, but your feelings start to guide your way. If you step out of what you’re going through for a moment and look at the picture from a different perspective without emotion, you will see it’s a tug-of-war. Will you have the strength to hold on even when the opposition is tugging hard? Will you have the strength to keep pulling towards better days, a better life, better choices, Greater, and Greatness? Will you hold tight the rope even if it’s hurting? Will you keep tugging for your peace, your joy, your future and present? Will you keep your feet planted as you pull through? Sometimes we are in a sport we are blinded to because we have become so tired, emotional, and overwhelmed that we don’t even notice we are in a tug-of-war. Now that this is realized, what are going to do? Today I encourage you to hold tight to the rope. Don’t let go. And discover your smile sometime today. 😊
Setting healthy boundaries are great. Boundaries says hey there are limits I have, there are values I don’t choose to compromise, and a healthy place I choose to keep myself in. Speaking of boundaries, you have to communicate them clearly, stand on them, and if they change communicate that too. You have to take time to self assess to learn your values, know what takes you out of your peace zone, and safe place. Respect others’ boundaries. Respect the lines been drawn. Peace of mind, safety, mental, emotion, and spiritual health is important. Respect them and ensure others respect yours too. Stay encouraged and find sometime today to smile 😊
I was running up the hill and the wind was strongly forced against me. I paused to catch my breath and told myself push through to make it a little farther. I started back running a little farther and turned around to run down the hill. The point I wanted to make is you don’t have ti give up, you just keep making progress each abs every step of the way. Watch how close you get through all the obstacles, challenges, opposition. The force against you might seem unbearable, but you keep pushing your way until you reach your pinnacle. Reach your highest level. You may have to pause and start up another day but go farther each day. Push harder each day. Stay the pathway and keep going. Progress matters. As you get closer, you’ll realize you’re closer than you started. Hold on and keep going. You are almost there.
