When you find yourself in a restful place, let yourself enjoy it! We can get so busy in going and going that we forget to rest, relax, unwind. I always encourage you to take care of yourself. If you are not in a good place, you cannot be of help to anyone else. You won’t be able to give your best. So, why not prop your feet 🦶🏾 up? If you can, take some time to prop your feet 🦶🏾 up? Smile while you are at it! Enjoy giving your feet some rest with your mind, body and soul!
I was in the fitness facility and it was more people in there than usual. I noticed it was only two elliptical machines in there and one of them were being occupied. I used the one right next to the person who was already deep in one’s workout. As I begin, I looked forward and out the window at the view. My focus was my pace and my own goal; however, I realize I could have tried to pick up my pace to either match or outdo the person’s next to me. This brought me to the blog. Learn your pathway, your journey and go at your own pace. Don’t compare your race and pace to someone else’s. Each of us are at different places in our life so focus on your own. You are not competing with anyone else. You are not identical to anyone and DNA 🧬 proved that. So your race at your pace is what you are encouraged to focus on. Your goals, your mission, your strengths, your weaknesses, your ambition, your life may have similarities to others but it’s Yours to focus on!
On this current journey, I am seeing how distractions such as frustrations, temptations, emotions, and temporary situations can grab my attention. These moments can make or break me, build me or tear me down, push me forward or trip me up. How we respond and react to these matters, small situations, temporary circumstances defines where our mind and energy is being cultivated. When you are building and growing, these are all going to appear on your pathway, will you keep giving your energy to it or will you learn to stay focus and let some things roll off your shoulder? I’m still growing in this area but I’m definitely choosing to not let frustration from people, work, or circumstances build up or hold my energy hostage. I realize these are distractions. If I spend my energy and focus on temporary frustrations, temporary people acts and actions, circumstances that are temporary, I’m being blinded from my journey. I’m being blinded in these moments from focusing on my path. I lose focus if I give in to these distractions from the vision and goals. Don’t let these moments which are temporary take you off course. Don’t be blinded! If you do get blinded, Find Your Vision Again. Get Back Up and Refocus.
There is something about a breezeway. There is something about taking a stroll sometimes. Taking time to embrace the journey and not rush it or jump too soon. There is something about enjoying each step along the way. There is truly something about that moment in time you realize you’re walking the breezeway, walking the line between the two connections of your now and there. Times to Cherish, Moments to Enjoy, Memories to Hold onto, and Lessons to Learn from. Stroll the breezeway and take it all in. Find your smile!
In the late hours, I thought I was going to have the worst breakdown. Thoughts from past trauma creeped in and I was being attacked by negativity. My heart started racing as if it would jump out my body. I felt myself losing it. I reached out to past encounters with a random message about feeling unsafe. Then, I received a text of prayer randomly. God reminded me through this moment He sees me, He hears me, He is healing me, I am not alone. I have to still hold on. It was this reminder that brought sense of security back to me. His love never ceases or fail. He amazes me that He communicated to me through a text message. Don’t give up whoever you are. Don’t let go. Don’t think you won’t get through this time in your life. Know that your healing is still taking place. Healing process doesn’t mean overnight or over years your past trauma will disappear immediately; eventually, it won’t overtake you. It means if you make it through the process you will see the end results. Healing will mend the wounds and those thoughts won’t hold you anymore. Stay encouraged and pushing forward. Someone is counting on you.
